asparagus crescent roll appetizer recipes

Description

Asparagus and crescent rolls combine to create adorable, tasty, and easy cheesy puff pastry spirals that make the best appetizers for any meal or party, making veggies much more enjoyable for both kids and adults!


Ingredients

  • 8 large asparagus
  • 1/2 tube pre-made crescent rolls 4 oz
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbs. seasoning salt
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large slices prosciutto if desired

Instructions

  1. open the crescent roll tube and cut each crescent in half length wise. each piece will be used to wrap around one asparagus stalk.
  2. mix the parmesean and seasoning salt together in a mixing bowl. coat both sides of each wedge of dough generously.
  3. wrap the asparagus with the crescent roll. take the tip of the crescent roll wedge and attach to the top of the asparagus stalk. twist around the asparagus, making a spiral. if you wish to add prosciutto, simply back the crescent roll with the prosciutto and wrap the asparagus.
  4. place the asparagus on a foil lined baking sheet. sprinkle with the leftover parmesean cheese mixture and shredded mozzarella cheese. bake for 13-15 minutes at 350F. (follow the baking instructions on the crescent roll tube)
  5. enjoy!
