I’ve talked at length about my problems with indecision so it probably won’t be surprising that I found a way to have my savory toast and eat my sweet toast, too.

As a kid, my culinary tastes were pretty plain Jane. Favorite food? Buttered pasta. Or maybe a cheese and butter sandwich. Yup, you read that right. No mayo for this girl, just a slab of cheese and some butter. Pretty sure it’s a British thing. Anywho, what I’m getting at is I didn’t like frills. I wanted my carbs enhanced only with butter and probably some cheese. I liked my PB smooth my ice cream chunkless.

But oooh how times have changed. My current modus operandi is the more textures and toppings the better. My ice cream better have chunks, my carbs better be covered in sauce and if I can find a way to put a topping on something you bet I will. Prime example, you won’t see a naked smoothie bowl on my insta. As a kid, I wanted nothing more than a plain bagel, untoasted with no cream cheese. WHO WAS I? A weird weird little kid.

At least I’ve seen the light. So, today I’m sharing some crazy awesome topping laden toasts. I call it toast 2 ways. They’re perfect for those mornings (or afternoons or late nights) when you just cannot fathom deciding between savory and sweet. I know, it’s a debate I have constantly.

First, the avocado toast is kind of a no brainer. This classic combo can do no wrong. If I have to try to sell you on why you should eat avocado, you’re in the wrong place (just kidding all are welcome here, I promise I won’t judge). The strawberry, peanut butter & coconut butter combo is a flavor, texture explosion waiting to happen. The butters get all melty and the strawberry is the perfect sweet but not too sweet balance. Plus strawberry and coconut are the most underrated flavor couple in town.

So bust out those toasters it’s party time.
